Never before have we come to such a time as this. God is radically at work in people’s lives, and the implications for us as a church are beyond our comprehension. We are struggling to keep up as God continues to bring more and more people into our church family. People are searching for the Lord...and they are finding Him here!

Our biggest challenge as a church is to provide additional space for the people who are here and for those who will be coming to Shepherd in the years to come. We are simply out of room in our facility. Each week our lobby and parking lots are packed with people trying to get in or out of our 10 worship services. Traffic backs up as people try to leave to make way for those still arriving.

These are great problems to have, aren’t they? Still, the question remains –“Where are we going to put the people that the Lord keeps sending to us and how are we going to minister to them effectively?” The type of church we will become in the future will be shaped by our answers to these questions today.

Honoring His Name is our capital giving campaign designed to help meet the critical shortages of seating and parking capacity, and to make the necessary plans and preparations for the future growth of our church family. The timing is critical and the window is small. God has blessed us with a tremendous opportunity, and we need to act on it now.

It is time for each of us to make a personal investment to help reach hundreds of thousands of people for Christ. I want to personally invite each of you to be a part of something much bigger than all of us!
