CalTrans land
Shepherd of the Hills to pleased to announce that – upon elder approval – we will accept the State of California’s purchase proposal for the land between Shepherd of the Hills’ existing campus and the 118 freeway, between Corbin Avenue and Porter Ranch Drive. Acquiring this 2.5 acres of land will allow Shepherd to incorporate a drive aisle into our master site plan, spanning the length of our campus, from Corbin to Porter Ranch. With the help of our governmental affairs consultant, we anticipate finalizing this purchase by the middle of this year.
Still in negotiations with the State of California and City of Los Angeles for lease access on two parcels of land immediately south of the 118 freeway.
Shepherd has been actively pursuing a partnership with the State of California to use two parcels of land south of the 118 freeway, adjacent to Corbin Avenue and Porter Ranch Drive. Use of this land will allow for a smaller parking structure on our campus – saving both space and finances -- and will benefit the community by providing Shepherd-maintained riding trails and beautification projects. Please be in prayer for fruitful negotiations with city and state decision-makers as this can be a lengthy, detailed process.
