Building Project Update – 6.30.06
Here is the pertinent information on the building project as of 6/30/2006
- Tom Greer, our project coordinator, is putting together a Design Review Competition with our top four architectural firms. They will be creating a number of "looks" for the new Shepherd campus for us to review.
- We are now in escrow to purchase nearly five acres on the east end of our property, which would give us an approximate 18 contiguous acres on this campus.
- With the help of Strategic Dimensions, we have what we believe to be the most effective roadmap for us to reach our goal of building out our property and to expand our ability to reach this city for Christ. It outlines what Phase I will look like as well as Phase II.
- We have submitted a proposal to the State for use of some of the area lots for Shepherd's additional parking needs. We will provide the community with much-needed improvements in these spaces as well as maintain them. This really is a win-win for the commuity as it will add important resources for the public. This is a critical issue ofr our development, and I am asking each of you to add this to your daily prayer list. With this additional parking, our need to build a parking structure goes away in Phase I, and drastically reducing its size for the build out of PHase II.
