Building Project Update – 9.25.06

Document Actions
Here is the pertinent information on the building project as of 9/25/2006:
  • We have retained an architect, Steve Kroh of Kroh Architects Inc., to help us put together our Master Plan and to serve as designer and architect for the first building phase.  Steve has worked on a number of projects throughout the area such as Cotton Wood Christian Center, Harvest Christian Fellowship, and Cal Baptist University.  We have already begun work on the first stages of this process.  We have assembled many of the participants on the design team, which includes a number of local engineers and experts with excellent reputations in the community, along with our architect and construction representative.  We have some significant deadlines to meet over the next few months and have met with our team many times to aggressively make the plan of expanding our campus a reality.
  • We are still in escrow on the land at the west end of our property.  We continue to submit the necessary documentation to meet the terms of our escrow and are pleased with the progress that is being made.
  • We continue to meet with city officials to reach an agreement to use nearby parcels of land which can be used for Shepherd parking. Please continue to pray daily that these meetings will yield a positive outcome as this would allow us to revise our plans for an on-site parking structure, significantly reducing its size and cost in Phase II.
